About me

My name is Kim Henri and I’m based in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium, conveniently located in the heart of Europe.

I am open and used to travelling across Europe for assignments and personal creative projects, with the latter leading me sometimes to South and East Asia as well. I photograph a diverse range of subjects although taking portraits – both environmental or in studio, is what I enjoy the most because of the human interactions.
Short Bio

As far as I can remember, I’ve always been passionate about photography. I started taking pictures at a very young age. My first camera was a gift from my parents so I could take pictures as souvenirs during our family trips. I was maybe seven or eight years old at the time.

When in my early 20’s, I got the opportunity to work with models on several assignments, it ignited my passion for fashion photography and fueled my love for portraits in all forms. And this fire is still burning today with an unyielding flame!

Partnerships

Event and sports photography is about capturing fleeting moments. It might be a moment of action, it might be a moment of emotion. This makes it very similar to portrait photography in my view. Creating images that catch these moments is what draws me. Catching the right moment to tell the story of what happened from a chosen vantage point is so compelling for me.

But sometimes partnering makes the experience more fun and the visual storytelling easier, richer and denser. It also offers opportunities to rise to challenges and cover larger engagements. Making more human connections is also a big plus. This is the reason why I cover for example Onewheel events and international competition with Flowwolf and business events with HCC Photography.
I am also open to proposal for teaming up on other assignments if they fit into my schedule.

Collaborations

I welcome collaboration initiatives very much. I value like-minded people who have projects and look for professional support to realise their creative vision. I find it very rewarding to help them, which often leads to interesting and original collaborations that I really appreciate.

Of course I also like TFP collaborations. I think it is a wonderful way to keep my creative energy flowing while supporting models or artists in the early stages of their careers. Trying something different and capturing genuine new interactions often give birth to surprisingly good pictures. Culling  my portfolio and filling it back up with fresh new photographs from recent TFP work brings me a lot of joy and satisfaction. And there is nothing like sharing a passion and creating beautiful memories that will stay for years to come…

My Approach
In my eyes, photos are the best way to capture the special moments in our life and preserve them from the passing of time. Creating impactful memories with my camera is a mission that I carry out with great dedication.
